At Roslyn's Kitchen, I believe that food should not only be delicious but also easy and enjoyable to make.

I grew up in Blackpool, England. A seaside resort with a lot of "fish & chip shops". My mum and dad worked full-time and my Nana lived with us. There was ALWAYS a full home-cooked meal on the table. Mum would come home from work , as a hairdresser, throw the towels in the washing machine and get to work on dinner. She loved her pressure cooker! As quick as a blink, there was beef barley soup, fresh bread. Fish was always a staple and lots of different ways to cook potatoes LOL. That being said, II hope you enjoy my site and postings.

How often have you woke up and said to yourself..." What can I make for dinner"? Or your family ask the same question. Sometimes it's hard, especially when you work all day. Dr's appointments AFTER work, kids' homework, and a number of things. Well, I'm here to tell you that with 4 children of my own, all boys!!, and working full time,
How often have you woke up and said to yourself..." What can I make for dinner"? Or your family ask the same question. Sometimes it's hard, especially when you work all day. Dr's appointments AFTER work, kids' homework, and a number of things. Well, I'm here to tell you that with 4 children of my own, all boys!!, and working full time, I had to navigate who's doing what and when. I did not want to order in (it's way too expensive), so, as my mum did, I do, homecooked meals 90% of the time. Share my jouney with me and if I could do it...so can you.
P.S. I wrote a cookbook called "MA, WHAT'S FOR DINNER?" CHECK IT OUT, IT'S ON AMAZON :)

I have so many articles to share. Some of the stuff I came across over the years in magazine articles, reading recipe books, and watching the cooking channel incessantly. But there again, I also watch the home and garden renovation shows, so I have a few of those tips and tricks too. It's like saying to a friend, "Hey, did you know....?

That being said, I also cook on a budget, occasionally splurging, and I believe in the saying
"Waste Not, Want Not" :) With that said, I have a lot of "Love Your Left Overs" and what to do with scraps!
Let's call it dinner-re-imagined!
And coming soon, there will be a link to my YouTube live channel.

In the coming weeks, I will be adding this drink section. It's actually amazing that all these years, I never really planned the "drinks" for the evening meal with friends. I relied on wine (which I still do). However, as I am so into the food, I realized that sometimes you just need a good Sangria for that summer party around the pool. Or a Mulled Wine for the Christmas Holidays. And what about those Martini's!
So I'll be sending out an email to announce this. So why don't you just go to the subscribe page.
Go on
I love planning the holidays. I'm not crazy for weeks on end; however, about a week before, I start thinking about the mood I want to set. Finding out who has what allergy, and if it's a gift-giving holiday, what do you need on hand? With that said, I will be creating my own menus and sharing them weeks before you, or I will be actually cooking. And at this point, I invite all of you, no matter what holiday you might be celebrating, to share your menus in the recipe swap on this site.
